Bangladesh'S Clothing Fair This Year Has Attracted More Buyers.
The twenty-second Bangladesh clothing and Textile Fair (BATEXPO 2011) will be opened in Dhaka in December 10th this year. Compared with previous years, the Expo may attract more overseas buyers, the organizer of the Expo said.
Sidiko Rachman, acting president of Bangladesh garment manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), said Bangladesh mainly produces basic clothing items, which have more demand, especially in the economic downturn. Therefore, garment manufacturers expect more overseas buyers to participate in this year's fair.

Islam, chief coordinator of Bangladesh clothing and Textiles Fair, said all booths for the Expo have been booked, and more than 150 local and foreign exhibitors are expected to play their products on the battlefield.
