Recently, the Ministry of industry and trade (MOIT), in collaboration with the Vietnamese Federation of industry and Commerce (VCCI), the Vietnam action assistance organization and other organizations, held the Corporate Social Responsibility Award Presentation Ceremony in Hanoi.

About 33 enterprises in shoe, textile and clothing sectors have won such awards in the past three years for their compliance with labour laws, high economic efficiency, good social policies for employees and effective contribution to environmental protection.

Hanoi clothing and textile company won the first prize, and the two prize was awarded to PhongPhu company and DongPhuong clothing Limited company. The three prize was awarded to VietTien clothing company, SongHong company and LongAn import and export company.

The organization also awarded 5 consolation prizes.

LongAn clothing company has won the best environmental protection enterprise award.

This is the third consecutive year that Vietnam has held such a Social Responsibility Award.

These companies have contributed to improving Vietnam's image and prestige in the international arena. These companies have contributed to entrepreneurs' mutual connections and good understanding of social responsibility.

In addition to these general objectives, the 2007 Social Responsibility Award is aimed at promoting better corporate social responsibility and sharing experience in labor management, improving working environment and providing good treatment for employees.
