In December 19th, Linde Group, the world's leading gas and engineering company, signed a long-term exclusive supply contract with Ningbo Wanhua polyurethanes limited.

From 2010, Linde will provide oxygen and nitrogen to the world class installation of the polyurethane production giant in Daxie Development Area, Ningbo.

The project has an investment of about $125 million, which is the largest single investment by Linde to China.

Ningbo Wanhua invested by Wanhua, Yantai, is the fastest growing chemical enterprise in the field of polyurethane production and sales in China.

Linde gas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Linde Group, will build two sets of air separation units with 1300 tons of oxygen per day, and a new pipeline infrastructure that connects 30 kilometers to Ningbo Daxie and Beilun.

These facilities will be used to provide gas to Wanhua and Ningbo steel and provide liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and liquid argon with a daily output of 800 tons for the Ningbo market, while producing rare gas krypton and xenon.

Dr AldoBelloni, director of Linde Group, said that cooperation with Wanhua's ambitious leading companies has proved that Linde has brought the value of success to the growth of China's pillar industries, which comes from the advanced production and supply of gas owned by the company and a complete set of solutions for gas engineering.

Ningbo Wanhua currently has a factory with a daily output of 240 thousand tons MDI, and is now investing in the construction of a new MDI device.

The integrated production site integrating MDI, methanol, ammonia and aniline will enable Ningbo Wanhua MDI to reach a world class level of 600 thousand tons / year.

Beginning in 2010, Ningbo Linde gas company will supply 2000 tons of oxygen and 1000 tons of nitrogen for the new production site.

The new facility will be put into operation in 2010, and Linde gas company in Ningbo will become the largest air producer in China. The total capacity of oxygen and nitrogen will reach 8000 tons per day, and the pipeline network with a length of 70 km will be built.

It is estimated that by 2012, Linde gas company of Ningbo can provide customers with all kinds of gas in all sizes and needs.
