The name of D.A.T.E is made up of the initials of its four founders, Damiano Innocenti (1980), Alessandro Zanobini (1982), Tommaso Santoni (1981) and Emiliano Paci (1971).

In 2005, when the four designers met in London and decided to make some changes, they set up their shoes brand.

After many setbacks and eating a lot of closed doors, they decided to abandon the machine shoe making and adopt the pure hand shoe making mode.

In January 2006, they were invited to a party and showed their series of products. For the touch of handmade Jiang Minrui, the first pair of D.A.T.E series shoes were amazing to the public, and sold over 8000 pairs in just three days.

Nowadays, in just a few years, D.A.T.E. sells more than 300000 pairs of rubber soles every year. Almost all the top shopping centers in the world have their brand stores.
