Light textile clothing is one of the emerging industries of Kaixian's industrial economy.

In recent years, the county has actively readjust its industrial development ideas, making full use of Guangdong, Zhejiang and other parts of the textile and garment enterprises to shift to the central and western regions, abundant labor resources, "one ring, two wings" and other comprehensive development zones of the Northeast Chongqing Economic Zone, and other favorable conditions. Through a variety of measures such as attracting investment and encouraging enterprises to return home and start businesses, the garment industry has been rapidly rising and revitalizing, laying a solid foundation for building Chongqing's textile city.

At present, according to incomplete statistics, there are 29 textile and garment manufacturing enterprises with different sizes and more than 4000 employees in our county.

Among them, there are 1 raw silk production enterprises, 2 shoe making enterprises, 3 finished garment production enterprises, and 23 knitting enterprises, which are distributed in some townships of county and Dade Township, mainly undertaking order processing business, and the products are mainly made of sweater and semi finished sweaters.

At the same time, we have successfully signed the Xinjiang Tai Chang cotton spinning project with an annual output of 300 thousand spindles, an annual production of 3 million 200 thousand suits of Chongqing flying Garments Co., Ltd. and an annual output of 5 million sets of knitted garments Heng Ji Knitting Co., Ltd.

With the completion and operation of the above scale enterprises, the textile and garment industry in Kaixian will rise to a new level, and economic benefits will gradually emerge and become the pillar industry of our county's industrial economy.

By 2011, the output value of textile and garment industry will reach 3 billion 530 million yuan, accounting for 17.7% of the county's industry, and the "light textile and garment characteristic industrial base" will be built.
