TPP Negotiations On Flexible Clothing Origin Rules In The United States

American Association of importers of textiles and clothing (
USA-ITA
) commend the letter and thank the 15 US senators for supporting this twenty-first Century trade agreement.
Senator Warner said in a statement: "our two parties have urged the government to continue to participate in the TPP dialogue effectively and promote the modern clothing trade, which reflects the current business reality.
A more flexible approach would allow direct market access and create jobs, trade and investment for the United States. "
USA-ITA President Julia K. Hughes said: "for American consumers, this is an important message. American clothing brands and retailers may create employment opportunities for thousands of Americans.
The Senate letter represents a genuine change in Washington's trade policy.
The main decision-makers of the house of Representatives and the United States Senate are talking about the importance of the value chain to support brand and retailers to create employment opportunities in the United States.
The negotiations will play an important role in promoting the development of American Apparel Enterprises.
The next round of TPP negotiations will be held in Texas on May 8, 2012 -18.
