At present, there are 1 million 620 thousand tons of Xinjiang cotton that need to be pported by railway, and the Urumqi Railway Bureau ensures that

The average daily load is more than 220 cars.

According to this requirement, Xinjiang's backlog of cotton is expected to rush to pport for about 160 days this year.

According to statistics, in 2011~2012, cotton production in Xinjiang was affected by the high market price in the previous year, and the planting area was expanded. The output was estimated to be 3 million 500 thousand tons, of which about 3 million tons needed to be exported by railway and 490 thousand tons higher than the same period last year.

Since late April, the Xinjiang railway department has carried out cotton rush pportation. Besides the Urumqi cotton railway station and the west railway station, the cotton shipments have been intensifying in the main cotton producing areas such as Akesu, Bachu, Korla, Kuitun, Shihezi and so on.
