Reporters learned from the provincial science and technology department in March 13th that the first batch of Shandong's 6 export bases for innovation in science and technology has been assessed.

According to the guidelines for expanding the export and pformation of new and high-tech products to enhance the competitiveness of traditional export industries, experts from the provincial foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department and the science and Technology Department recently organized a review of the reporting units from the aspects of technological sophistication, technological innovation capability, import and export scale and structure. The 6 units, namely, Yantai Wanhua synthetic leather Group Co., Ltd. (new building energy-saving materials), Weifang hi tech Industrial Development Zone (new components and display devices), Taishan Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. (special fiber materials), Rongcheng (deep-sea seafood processing), Yucheng hi tech Industrial Development Zone (sugar engineering products), Yantai spandex Group Co., Ltd. (special fiber materials), are the first batch of Shandong provincial science and technology export trade innovation base.
