Switzerland's prices continued to fall in June this year. The most obvious drop was gasoline, diesel and fuel oil.

Data released by the Swiss Confederation Bureau of Statistics (FSO) recently (July 6th) showed that, in general, the consumer price index (CPI) in Switzerland decreased by 0.3% in June, down to 99.5, down 1.1% from the same period last year.

The price of shoes and shoes decreased by 2.8%, oil products fell by 4.2%, fuel oil prices dropped by 5.3%, and gasoline and diesel prices in June were 3.5% and 3.3% cheaper than those in May.

On the contrary, the price of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 1%, and household appliances and household spending increased by 0.8%.

According to the Swiss Confederation Bureau of Statistics (FSO) published the Swiss consumer price index survey in June 2012, compared with April 2012, the price index fell slightly by 0.3% to 99.5 points (with December 2010 as the base =100).

In June 2012, the inflation rate was -1.1% (annual rate); the inflation rate in 2012 May was -1.0% (annual rate), and 2011 June was +0.6% (annual rate).

The report pointed out that the largest number of items dropped in June: crude oil products (-4.2%), clothing and footwear (-2.8%), pport category (-1.2%), other sundry products (-0.5%), residential and energy (-0.3%), journalism and communication (-0.1%), restaurants and hotels (-0.1%).

The main items of the price increase are: alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+1.0%), household goods and household utensils (+0.8%), food and non alcoholic beverages (+0.2%), leisure culture (+0.1%) and health maintenance products (+0.1%).

Prices remain unchanged: educational products.
