When analyzing the reasons why these enterprises pferred the production base to Bangladesh, the chairman believed that the main factor was the sharp rise in wages in recent years in China and Southeast Asia, which led to the weakening of the competitiveness of footwear manufacturers, the anti-dumping of Chinese and Vietnamese footwear exports, the low price of Bangladesh labor, the geographical advantages of Bangladesh and South Asia and Southeast Asia, and the zero tariff treatment of Bangladesh entering the EU market.
