A statistics from the Federation has attracted the attention of many textile and garment export enterprises in Shaoxing.

The EU REPEX system issued 317 product notified articles to China, an increase of 112.75% over the same period last year, of which 70 of textile and clothing products were announced, representing an increase of 337.5% over the same period last year.

In the recall of products, the main reason for the notification is that clothing, especially children's clothing, is still not in line with the European standard EN14682. There is a risk of suffocation (the length of the rope for children's tops and caps exceeds the standard) and the risk of injury (the waist length of children's clothing exceeds the standard).

From the point of sending the notified country, Hungary was the most widely informed country, and its announcement accounted for 34.57% of the Chinese textile and clothing categories, followed by Slovenia, Romania, Denmark, Spain, Germany and Finland.

Whether it is the EU's surge in the number of textile and garment products recalled, or the recent introduction of new regulations on textile labels and other aspects of the more stringent requirements, which shows that the economic downturn in the environment of the EU strengthened the textile and garment enterprises in the region, especially children's clothing protection.

The European Union is also one of the largest textile and garment export markets in Shaoxing.

According to statistics, in the 1~5 months of this year, the volume and amount of textile garments exported by the Shaoxing inspection and Quarantine Bureau in Shaoxing decreased by 15% and 33% respectively.

Although the EU's recall and notification on textiles and clothing products in China does not involve enterprises and products in Shaoxing, it should not be taken lightly.

In this regard, Shaoxing inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded all relevant export enterprises in Shaoxing
