The Federation of industry announced that Chaonan district is "China's famous underwear and clothing city". The Guangdong provincial economic and Information Commission announced that Chaonan district is "Guangdong province's garment industry pformation and upgrading focus on cultivating industrial clusters".
China Textile Information Center and Chaonan district government signed a memorandum of understanding to build "China Chaonan textile industry innovation base".
