In May 1, 2008, the European Commission made an anti circumvention final on leather shoes originating in China: a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on products originating in China and being re exported from Macao (whether or not originating in Macao).

The EU union names of the products involved are coded as ex64032000, ex64035105, ex64035111, ex64035115, ex64035119, ex64035191, ex64035195, ex64035199, ex64035905, ex64035911, ex64035931, ex64035931, ex64035199, ex64035905, ex64035911, ex64035931, e, P, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C, C and X.

In this case, 8 Macao enterprises took part in the complaint. They were: (1) Fabricade Sapatos PaolinaLimitada, Macao; (2) Feifer Footwear/Ultimate Footwear, Macao; (3) Fabricade Sapatos Fairwear, Sapatos; (4) the "Qi", "("); (5) ","; "(6)";

In addition, 27 Chinese producers / exporters answered a small questionnaire (mini-questionnaires) on trade in Macao's re export footwear products.

In July 7, 2005, the European Union filed anti-dumping investigations on leather shoes originating in China; in October 6, 2006, the EU made a definitive final ruling on the case: 9.7% to 16.5% anti-dumping duty on products originating in China for 2 years; in September 6, 2007, the EU made an investigation on the anti circumvention of leather shoes originating in China.
