On the one hand, ASEAN countries have abundant labor force, and there is no difficulty in recruitment, and some ASEAN countries have lower labor costs than China; On the other hand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and other ASEAN countries spin The export of clothing products to Europe, America and other countries and regions is less restricted, which is the main factor for Chinese clothing enterprises to invest in ASEAN. He said that among the special economic zones contracted by the Chinese clothing enterprise Red Bean Group in Sihanouk Port, Cambodia, light textile clothing is the main industry, and some Chinese clothing enterprises have set up factories here.

Clothing is the main industrial product and export product of ASEAN countries. In recent years, ASEAN imports more and more raw materials, accessories, textile and garment machinery from China for garment production. China's textile and clothing exports to ASEAN reached 26.6 billion US dollars in 2012, an increase of 34.2%. ASEAN has become the fastest growing region in China's textile and clothing exports. The main export products have changed from fabrics to clothing, accounting for 40.7% of exports; Fabric accounts for 39%; Finished products accounted for 14.1%; Yarn accounts for 6.2%.

It is understood that in July this year, China's export to ASEAN achieved a rapid growth, with the export growth of 42% that month, of which the export growth of fabrics reached 53%, and the export growth of clothing reached 54%. From January to July, China's exports to ASEAN increased by 43.8%, including fabric growth of 31.5% and clothing growth of 76.2%.

The China ASEAN Free Trade Area has facilitated mutually beneficial cooperation between garment enterprises of both sides. Xu Ningning suggested that the trade associations of both sides should strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and strengthen cooperation in strengthening mutual information and technology exchanges, organizing enterprises to visit each other and participate in exhibitions.

Xu Ningning said that China holds many professional exhibitions in the textile and clothing industry every year, and garment enterprises in ASEAN countries are welcome to actively participate. Strengthening cooperation between China and ASEAN in the garment industry is an effective way to make good use of the preferential policies of the FTA to promote the upgrading of the domestic garment industry and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results in the region.
