According to China textile daily reported on September 2nd, in the first half of 08 years, the number of textiles and garments exported by the Zhongshan entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 25838, with a quantity of 131 million 820 thousand, and its value was more than 5.1 billion US dollars.

In the first half of 08 years, the number of garments exported to Zhongshan was 22 million 100 thousand, and its value was $120 million. The number increased by nearly 50% compared with the same period last year. The value of goods increased by nearly 60% compared with the same period last year, and the volume of exports accounted for 17% of the total. The EU has become the second largest trading partner of Zhongshan's clothing exports, after Hongkong, China.
