The Beijing Consumer Association released the comparative test results of 48 cashmere sweaters. A total of 16 cashmere sweaters failed to meet the standards. The cashmere content of famous brands such as "Zhaojun", "Saint Snow Wool", "Bosideng", and "Rabbit King" all shrank, while one "Erong King", known as 100% cashmere, saw nothing but wool, nylon, Lyocell, and rabbit hair.

This time, the staff of the Consumer Association, as ordinary consumers, randomly purchased 48 cashmere sweaters from various large and medium-sized shopping malls and online platforms in Beijing, involving the products of 44 enterprises in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Inner Mongolia, etc. 13 items were tested by the Beijing Quality Supervision and Inspection Station for Wool and Hemp Silk Fabrics. The results showed that 16 out of 48 cashmere sweaters failed to meet the standard, accounting for 33.3%. The cashmere components marked on some cashmere sweaters are not worthy of the name. People artificially add other fiber components and pass them off as high-quality ones. Some even have no cashmere components and pass them off as cashmere products, which is suspected of fraud.

According to the municipal consumer association, consumers often pay more attention to the cashmere content when buying cashmere sweaters. The national standard stipulates that cashmere fiber content in cashmere sweaters reaches 95% or more, which can be labeled as "100% cashmere" or "pure cashmere". However, the inspection found that the fiber content of 11 cashmere sweaters was not consistent with the measured value. Famous brands such as "Zhaojun", "Saint Snow", "Bosideng", "Rabbit King" and so on all marked "cashmere 100%", in fact, wool or recycled cellulose fiber was added.

There are also three cashmere sweaters that do not contain cashmere at all. They are 100% cashmere of the "Erong Huang" (60065210) standard of Erdos Erong Huang Cashmere Industry Co., Ltd., which is actually wool, nylon, Lyocell and rabbit hair; Jinlong Knitting Co., Ltd. "Shuanu SHUAINU", with a nominal cashmere of 30% ± 5, wool of 70% ± 5, is actually 25% wool and polyester fiber, acrylic fiber, nylon; Shanghai Xuepi Knitting Co., Ltd. "Xuepi" (Y302) has a nominal cashmere of 80% ± 5, wool of 20% ± 5, and actual wool of only 2%, most of which are polyester fibers and acrylic fibers.
