NVIDIA Will Build A Commercial Textile Research Center In China
INVISTA, a US based global synthetic fiber and polymer manufacturer, is building a 3000 square meter commercial textile research center in China, which is expected to open in May 2009. In addition, the company will focus on the textile processing and application of Yingda in Shanghai. "The establishment of NVIDIA China Textile Research Center demonstrates our commitment to the Chinese and Asian markets," said Dr. Eric Chang, Asia Technical Director of NVIDIA. By developing the latest technologies in fiber and fabric applications, NVIDIA's new research center will not only accelerate the progress of the textile industry, but also be in line with the Chinese government's goal of developing high value-added industries, innovative technologies and industries. " NVIDIA fiber (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will be responsible for the center (INVISTA's third Global Textile Research Center), which will be located in the company's Qingpu spandex factory.
