EU Intends To Cancel Anti-Dumping Duties Against Vietnam
According to Vietnam's Economic Times reported on November 17th, the Vietnam shoe and Leather Association said that the European Union recently proposed that if Vietnamese enterprises commit themselves to the lowest export price, the EU will consider lifting 10% of the anti-dumping duty on leather shoes hat imported from Vietnam.
According to the report, according to the proposal, the EU can accept the commitment of Vietnam shoe and hat enterprises to the lowest export price.
The lowest price is proposed by Vietnamese enterprises and approved by the European Union.
If the commitment can be reached as soon as possible, the EU will be exempt from the anti-dumping duty of 10% of the export enterprises of leather shoes and caps in January 1, 2009.
Once the EU decides to cancel anti-dumping duties, voluntary price commitments will then lapse.
