The reporter learned from the Jintan Clothing Trade Association recently that in the "China Europe supply chain social responsibility summit" and "China Textile and garment industry social responsibility annual meeting" held by the China Textile Industry Association and the European trade association in the Great Hall of the people in 2008, the city was recognized by the judges as a result of its high degree of agglomeration, strong production capacity, clear scale, extroverted features, diversified product categories and diversified capital structure.

It is understood that after China's accession to the WTO, in order to cope with the increasing trade threshold of developed countries such as the European Union, and to promote the upgrading and pformation of textile and garment enterprises, the China Textile Industry Association began to implement the social responsibility management system in the national textile and garment industry in 2005.

Jintan has been jointly awarded the "China's export garment manufacturing city" and "China's clothing pnational procurement base" by the China Textile Industry Association and the China clothing association. There are more than 520 textile and garment enterprises in the city, including 159 large-scale enterprises and 62 thousand employees.

Last year, the city was listed as the only pilot area of China's textile and garment industry social responsibility management system, and 9 members of the Federation of industry and commerce, such as Huamao Jinsheng, participated in the pilot project of CSC9000T social responsibility.

Under the guidance of the clothing trade association, the textile and garment enterprises in the city strengthen self-discipline, standardize their employment behavior, and ensure the basic rights and interests of employees in terms of working conditions, time, salaries, social security and medical insurance.
