Adidas, Jen brand, Jinpeng Snow Dragon brand, ice feather brand, and EBO brand -- five famous brand down garments are known by the Beijing Consumers Association for their quality problems such as "insufficient filling capacity" and "shoddy".

The sample of this comparative test is purchased by the City Consumers Association as an ordinary consumer from the down jacket counter of the large shopping malls in the city.

The sample covers 45 production enterprises in 9 provinces and cities such as Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, which basically cover the main producing areas and manufacturers of down garments.

Reporters noted that in the "2008 down jacket comparison test results" table provided by the Consumer Association, the adidas brand down clothing is less than the allowable deviation.

City Consumers Association said that the amount of filling will directly affect the thermal insulation of down garments.

The reporter contacted the public relations department of Adidas company on this issue.

The other side said that Adidas had not yet received the evaluation report of the municipal consumers' Association. Because the evaluation process and results were not known, comments could not be given at the moment, and later they would be informed of the quality inspection department.

Compared with last year, the quality of down garment has been greatly improved this year.

At present, there are still sales of these down garments in the market. The City Consumers Association has issued recommendations to the relevant competent authorities on the comparative results.
