In 1956, Brigitte Bardot Ross Repetto was asked to make a pair of scarlet ballet shoes for her, and she danced a Mambo dance with these shoes in the film God Created Women.

This pair of red shoes was later called the French version of Cinderella's red shoes. It helped Brigitte Bardot create a cute and naughty girl like a kitten. It also became a symbol of lightness, comfort and sexiness.
