Recently, Adidas group has released its 2008 annual financial report. Its performance has been outstanding worldwide and its financial indicators have reached a new high.

In 2008, according to the situation of exchange rate unchanged, the total sales volume of Adidas group increased by 9%, the gross profit rate reached a record 48.7% in the whole year, and the earnings per diluted share increased by 20% after the whole year.

Under the influence of the euro exchange rate, Adidas group's revenue increased by 5%, from 10 billion 299 million euros in 2007 to 10 billion 799 million euros in 2008.

Mr. Herbert Haina, President and chief executive officer of Adidas group, said: "2008 is a record year for Adidas group. The good performance has once again confirmed our group's 1; globalization, diversification and customer demand oriented 1; the effectiveness of this operation mode."

In the Adidas group's brand, Adidas brand and Taylor Adidas Golf sales grew by a large margin. Adidas's revenue grew by 14% over the same period last year, and almost all major types of merchandise sales achieved two digit growth.

In 2008, the sales revenue of Adidas group increased by two digits in all regions except North America.

It is worth mentioning that the sales of Adidas group in Asia increased by 20% (according to the exchange rate unchanged), of which the strong growth of Adidas brand sales in China has become the main driving force.

Adidas's successful sponsorship of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games further strengthened Adidas's brand position in China and the world.

Adidas has become the first sports brand in the Chinese market through innovative products and unique marketing activities.
