Italy's clothing exports to China account for about sixteen percent of China's imports.

Lai Shiping, chief representative of ICE, said that although Italy was affected by the financial crisis, the number of exhibitors participating in this fair was basically the same as previous ones, indicating the importance of the Chinese market for Italian enterprises.

Lai Shiping stressed that although the import and export volume of textiles and clothing between the two countries has been reduced from the data point of view, due to the Chinese government's response to the financial crisis in the shortest time, China's high-end consumer groups have been hit by the crisis and are not serious in Europe and America.

He believes that after the crisis, China's consumer groups will pay more attention to product quality, which provides an opportunity for Italian textile and garment enterprises to develop in China.

It is learnt that in addition to the costumes Expo, the Italy National Pavilion will also participate in the China international textile fabrics and accessories (Chun Xia) fair. At that time, the "two 0, 0 year summer fabric fashion trend conference" will be held.
