In September 2nd, the Third Asia Europe Silk Road garment Festival, hosted by the people's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Ministry of industry and information technology and the China Federation of textile industry, opened in Urumqi and showed the world a beautiful image of "colorful Xinjiang, colorful ethnic groups, colorful fashion, and colorful national costumes to the world".

There are four main activities in this fashion festival, including the fourth China Asia Europe Expo, the first dedicated Textile and garment industry hall, with an exhibition area of 6240 square meters. The exhibition is based on the comprehensive exhibition of Xinjiang textile and garment industry, the three city (Akesu, Shihezi, Korla) policy and Park planning publicity exhibition and the most ethnic Hotan carpet products exhibition and the Xinjiang ethnic costumes exhibition. More than 120 exhibitors are invited to participate in the exhibition.

In the speech, Hu Kaijiang, secretary and director of the Xinjiang provincial Party committee, said that in May this year, the second session of the central Xinjiang work forum proposed the expansion of Xinjiang's bridgehead for opening to the outside world on the basis of channel construction. Based on geographical advantages, it made a major decision to build Xinjiang into the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and determined the strategic deployment for developing the textile and garment industry in Xinjiang to promote employment. This is of great significance for promoting the exchange and cooperation between Xinjiang's textile and garment industry and domestic and international industries, and promoting the leaping development of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry.

It includes 2014 Asian European fashion week, 2014 China fashion conference and the high-end forum of Xinjiang garment industry development, 2014 Xinjiang women's skillful hand contest and product exhibition, Xinjiang and Xinjiang textile and garment industry development planning docking meeting, awarding ceremony and other activities.

Among them, the "2014 China clothing Convention" is the most annual annual event of China's garment industry. The number of delegates will reach more than 500. This is the first time that the event has been held outside the city of Beijing.

The holding of these events will play a positive role in promoting the development of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry and the construction of textile and garment export processing zones and Trade Centers for the markets of central and Western Asia, Russia and Europe.
