The Italy Textile Machinery Association (ACIMIT) research department issued the Italy textile machinery orders data for the two quarter of 2014.

Data show that the order index in the two quarter of 2014 increased by 6% over the previous quarter.

In the two quarter of this year, the growth of orders in Italy's textile machinery industry was fully attributed to foreign markets.

In the 4~6 months of this year, Italy's overseas market sales increased by 8%, and the industry order index reached 92.1 points.

At the same time, Italy's domestic market showed a positive sign after the beginning of the year, and sales fell by 9% compared with the previous quarter.

"After the first quarter's performance was mild, foreign demand revival," explained Raffaella Carabelli, chairman of the Italy Textile Machinery Association. "We can prove this from the 2014 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition held in Shanghai in June and the ITMA Asia Exhibition.

Italy Statistics Bureau (ISTAT) data show that in the first quarter of this year, the export volume of Italy textile machinery increased by 9% over the same period last year.

Although exports to China and India fell by 3% and 13% respectively, exports to other major markets increased significantly, and exports to Turkey, the United States and Bangladesh increased by 24%, 46% and 37% respectively.

However, compared with the previous quarter, the domestic textile machinery market in Italy was negative.
