According to Chen Shunbao, mayor of Shaxi Town, as of the end of 2014, there were about 3140 enterprises in the more than 13800 industrial and commercial businesses in the town, accounting for about 22%, and the total sales volume was about 3 billion yuan, an increase of 110% over the same period in 2013.
