According to different regions, the main cotton areas of the Yellow River and Yangtze River decreased more last year.

Among them, the cotton planting area in the the Yellow River River Basin decreased by 182 thousand and 900 hectares, a decrease of 14.8% compared to the same period last year. The output per unit area decreased by 30.5 kg (2.03 kg / mu) per hectare, and decreased by 2.8%; the total cotton output decreased by 231 thousand tons, and decreased by 17.2%.

The cotton area in the Yangtze River Basin decreased by 170 thousand and 500 hectares, a decrease of 17.8%; the output per unit area increased by 63.3 kg per hectare, increased by 5.8%, and the output decreased by 136 thousand tons, down 13.1%.

The market price of seed cotton is lower and the price is reduced from 3 yuan to 2.85 yuan / kg (38% of lint, 13% of moisture and 1.3% of impurities).
