Re:newcell AB, a new technology developed in Stockholm laboratory, can pform waste textiles into new pulp - dissolving wood pulp (currently obtained mainly from trees).

Dissolving pulp is mainly used to produce high quality environmental protection textile fibers such as Viscose (viscose fiber) or Lyocell (soluble fiber).

At present, the global demand for textiles is 90 million tons per year.

The natural materials such as viscose fiber account for only 1/3 of them, and the rest are mainly petroleum based materials, such as polyester, spandex and nylon.

By extending the life span of existing natural materials to expand the total resources, it is imperative for consumers and large fashion companies.

So far, the quality of recycled cotton can not meet the requirements of the fashion industry, but the re:newcell recycled slurry can be achieved.

The company began to develop this technology in 2012, and now the whole process is basically mature. At present, it is investing 8 million euros to build a production line.
