The "Travis" Fitch Oscillation 3D print dress was first unveiled.

Stratasys prints the "Oscillation" dress jointly designed by threeASFOUR and Travis Fitch, and prints it through the Stratasys 3D technology.

Oscillation consists of 30 independent, high-precision, different color and material 3D printing parts, which consist of 270 design layers.

The 30 parts are flat when printed, and are assembled into the dress after opening.

Each component is divided into 9 layers, each layer has a thickness of not more than 1 millimeters. Each layer has a combination of specific colors and flexibility. Oscillation is the main product of the threeASFOUR "Quantum Vibrations" series.

Adi Gil explains: "only Stratasys's PolyJet 3D printing technology can achieve bionic coloring and change with size and shape. When the thickness and size change, the color will change accordingly, so we can build a multi-dimensional texture surface, a dynamic, oscillating waveform section."

ThreeASFOUR's designer Gabi Asfour, Angela Donhauser and Adi Gil have designed two products, named Pangolin and Harmonograph, with the help of Stratasys, and have been exhibited in fashion week in New York earlier this year. These three products are inspired by nature and biology.

Adi Gil said, "3D printing is very important for design, because designers can turn complex designs into objects.

Taking Oscillation as an example, the Stratasys 3D printing shows the complex interlaced energy circle, and people wear different shapes, colors and agility.

Only 3D printing can help us improve our design from different perspectives.

3D print fashion is no longer a novelty. Holland female designer Iris Van Herpen is famous for its bold attempt to print 3D. Her works were awarded to the New York Metropolitan Museum of art Manus x Machina 2016 spring show.
