1. yesterday's market and Forecast:
Yesterday (January 14, 2019), the PTA futures market was at a high level, and the spot price was stable and small. Yesterday, the market negotiated price of 6260-6330 yuan / ton.
Crude oil prices continue to fall, but the cost of PX is still rising, supporting PTA stability.
Downstream polyester and terminal textile industry, with the production date approaching, polyester production and sales are gradually shrinking, polyester demand for PTA is declining, and support for PTA's rising power is insufficient. PTA prices are expected to fall slightly in the short term.
2. upstream market:
(1) crude oil: closing on January 14th: optimistic expectations of Sino US trade negotiations weakened, coupled with poor economic data, renewed worries about demand, and international oil prices continued to fall.
WTI50.51 fell 1.08; Brent 58.99 fell 1.49 dollars / barrel.
China's SC main force fell 1903 to 4 yuan to 419.7 yuan / barrel.
(2) on PX:1 14, the Asian PX market closed at 1051 US dollars / ton FOB Korea and 1071 US dollars / ton CFR China, up 2 US dollars / ton compared with the previous trading day.
