In January 2nd, the international textile and Environmental Protection Association issued the 2019 edition of STANDARD100 eco environmental friendly textile product certification standard. The new standard makes China's textile exports face challenges.

It is understood that the STANDARD 100 eco environmental protection textile product certification standard is currently recognized by the global textile industry as an authoritative eco textile standard. Many European and American high quality buyers have adopted the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 standard as the technical basis for product procurement.

According to Ningbo customs experts, the new version of the eco textile standard will involve a wide range of highly concerned substances including benzene, quinoline, ammonium salt, barium, selenium and Glyphosate in the monitoring area.

On the other hand, stricter limits were imposed on two phthalate esters (plasticizers), perfluorinated and fluorinated compounds.

In recent years, the demand for residues in export textiles has been stricter and stricter in the international market. The introduction of the new eco textile standard has put forward new requirements for the production process and quality supervision of China's textile export enterprises.

It is understood that the new version of the eco textile standard will come into force in April 1, 2019 after the 3 month pition period. The Ningbo customs appeals to the export textile enterprises to attach great importance to it. In the whole production chain of the product, we should pay attention to and grasp the domestic and foreign technical regulations and standards in time, strictly carry out production and self-examination in strict accordance with the requirements of the corresponding regulations and standards. At the same time, we should strengthen the control of potential harmful substances, and entrust qualified laboratories for testing, so as to ensure that the ingredients in the products are strictly in line with the limit value standard.
