Xinhua Shenyang, June 29 (Gao Shuang) the regional cooperation and development conference of the national textile and garment industry was held in Chaoyang, Liaoning on the 27 day. More than 200 experts, scholars, association leaders and business representatives from over the whole country exchanged views on promoting the upgrading of the national textile and garment industry, regional coordinated development and industrial poverty alleviation.

On the current international and domestic situation, Xia Lingmin, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, said: "China's textile and garment industry will carry out deep cooperation in all areas along the way, make full use of the resource endowment conditions of all regions, complement each other's advantages, share resources, and develop the textile and garment industry in the global market and achieve win-win cooperation."

Mei Zubao, deputy inspector of the industrial policy department of the Ministry of industry and information technology, said that with the continuous enhancement of regional industrial collaboration, deepening regional cooperation has become the only way for China's textile industry to enhance its overall competitiveness and achieve high-quality development. The western part of Liaoning is the preferred region to promote the integration of Northeast China into Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and has the resource advantages to undertake the transfer of textile and garment industry.

It is understood that as of now, there are 188 textile and garment enterprises in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, with an annual output value of 600 million yuan and 20 thousand jobs. Xie Weidong, mayor of Chaoyang City, said that Chaoyang will rely on the textile industry foundation and labor force advantages to undertake more famous enterprises and big brands at home and abroad to help develop Chaoyang and build the largest textile and clothing production and processing center in northern China.
