Domestic sales situation

In 2019 1~5, the total retail sales of consumer goods in China totaled 161332 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1% over the same period last year. Among them, the retail sales of clothing products above the quota reached 397 billion 400 million yuan, an increase of 2.3% over the same period last year. Over the same period, the online retail sales of physical goods in China amounted to 30415 billion yuan, up 21.7% over the same period last year. In online retail sales of physical goods, wear commodities increased by 21.2% over the same period last year.

Export situation

In 2019 1~5, China's clothing and accessories exports totaled 51 billion 277 million US dollars, down 5.5% compared to the same period last year.

Investment and benefits

In 2019 1~5 months, the actual investment in garment industry in China increased by 3.9% over the same period last year. 13631 enterprises in the apparel industry (above 20 million yuan and above) have accumulated operating income of 621 billion 398 million yuan, an increase of 2.49% over the same period last year. The total profit was 30 billion 789 million yuan, down 1.30% compared with the same period last year. Operating profit margin was 4.95%, down 0.19 percentage points over the same period last year.
