US Cotton Export Weekly: Signing And Shipping Continues To Slump, China Still Has No Procurement.
The US Department of agriculture report shows that on July 2019 5-11, the net contract volume of US cotton exports in 2018/19 was 12 thousand and 200 tons, up 1% from the previous week, an increase of 46% over the previous four weeks average. The new signing came mainly from Vietnam (7802 tons), India (2699 tons), Indonesia (748 tons), Bangladesh (748 tons) and Malaysia (589 tons). The major contracts for cancellation were Thailand (1111 tons), Salvatore (272 tons) and Japan (136 tons).
The net export volume of cotton in the US 2019/20 was 49 thousand and 600 tons. The new signing came mainly from Vietnam (23 thousand tons), India (7643 tons), Turkey (4241 tons), Guatemala (4082 tons) and Pakistan (2222 tons).
2018/19 cotton shipments in the United States were 70 thousand and 400 tonnes, 7% less than the previous week, and 6% less than that of the previous four weeks. They are mainly shipped to India (20 thousand and 200 tons), Vietnam (13 thousand tons), Turkey (7598 tons), Bangladesh (6146 tons) and Mexico (3288 tons).
In 2018/19, Pima cotton signed a net contract volume of -1202 tons, reaching a new low of the year. The new signing came from Switzerland (295 tons), Pakistan (158 tons), Indonesia (45 tons), Bangladesh (45 tons) and Thailand (22 tons). The countries to cancel the contract are China (1701 tons) and Japan (45 tons).
In 2019/20, the net contract volume of Pima cotton was 113 tons, and the buyer was India.
The Pima transport volume was 2585 tons, an increase of 6% over the previous week, 28% less than that of the previous four weeks, mainly to India (998 tons), China (998 tons), Bangladesh (363 tons), Vietnam (68 tons) and Peru (45 tons).
