The government of Poland has accepted the labor department's proposal to raise the minimum wage in 2020 from the current 2250 wave to 2450 wave (equivalent to 634.81 US dollars) (the US dollar exchange rate is 1 USD = 3.8594 PLN). The minimum wage is raised by 200 wave coins, and the employer pays an additional cost of 241 waves per month.

Since there are about 1 million 500 thousand people receiving the minimum wage in the country, the employer has to pay more than 4 billion 300 million wave coins. Another 241 wave of extra money paid by the employer can only earn 138 wave coins. Raising the minimum wage, the 200 wave will bring 2 billion 300 million wave money to the Treasury.

The Ministry of labour of Poland has pointed out that the Department proposes to compromise between trade unions and employers. 3 employers' organizations proposed a minimum wage increase of 6.1% to 2387 Bo, while 3 trade union organizations called for an increase of 270 to 2520 Poland.
