According to the fashion index of Svensk Handel Stil, sales of fashion apparel industry increased in July (2019) compared with (2018) July, but sales of footwear decreased.

In July this year, sales of fashion clothing, including sales of stores, including stores, grew by 4.9%, and footwear sales by 1.1%. Mikael Sandstr o m, the industry chairman of the Swedish fashion trade association, said that because of the hot weather in last summer and the poor sales situation, the fashion and apparel industry was lucky to rise from the dismal sales performance of (2018). So the fashion industry in July this year was particularly clear, and the footwear industry did not catch up with the fashion industry.

So far this year, sales of fashion apparel are still 1%, and footwear sales are 2.4%. The Swedish fashion trade association points out that the companies in the footwear industry are quite worried about the future development of the industry, and argue that the poor profitability of the shops is mainly affected by the high rental cost.
