According to the Customs General Statistics Bulletin, the total export volume of textiles and clothing in August was 25 billion 710 million US dollars, down 4.61% compared with the same period last year (1.23% in the year before RMB). Among them, textiles exported 10 billion 10 million US dollars in the month, down 2.44% from the same period last year (1.06% yuan over the same period last year); clothing exported 15 billion 700 million US dollars in the same month, down 5.94% compared with the same period last year (2.63% in the year before RMB). Affected by external pressure, the overall export growth rate of the textile and garment industry in China has dropped in August.

In the 1-8 months of this year, the total export volume of textiles and clothing totaled US $177 billion 440 million, down 2% from the same period last year (3.65% in the year over year). Among them, the total export volume of textiles was US $79 billion 400 million, an increase of 0.96% over the same period (6.8% yuan over the same period last year), and the total export volume of clothing was 98 billion 40 million US dollars, down 4.26% from the same period last year (1.24% in the year over year).
