The United States Is Jordan'S Top Export Market.
According to "ValueChainAnalysis (VCA) Garments, Jordan" statistics, Jordan garment industry currently has 85 large enterprises, employing Jordan garment industry 95% labor force. Most of these garment companies are foreign-funded enterprises, joint ventures or holding companies. Their garments are mainly exported to the United States, accounting for 95% of Jordan's total export volume. Most of the Jordanian clothing factories are located in the north, followed by the central and southern regions. In recent years, some large enterprises have built 16 satellite factories.
EBRD issued a study showing that Amman's clothing exports are increasing and will continue to grow. The president of MunirDeyeh, a Jordanian textile and garment joint venture, said that domestic clothing sales in Jordan fell sharply by nearly 60% in 2018.
The United States is currently the number one export market in Jordan, and about $1 billion 200 million worth of goods exported to the United States in 2018.
