Recently, Shaoxing's first quilting vocational skills competition was held at Zhejiang industrial Career Technical College. In the competition, Qian Haiying, a teacher who teaches mechanical and electrical technology integration in Zhejiang Industry Polytechnic College, was awarded the honorary title of "Shaoxing technical expert" and won the first prize.

It is understood that the competition is sponsored by the Shaoxing Municipal Bureau of human resources and social security, the Shaoxing Federation of trade unions, the Communist Youth League Shaoxing Municipal Committee and the Zhejiang provincial patchwork Association. According to the relevant person in charge, the Zhejiang provincial quilting association was settled in Shaoxing industrial design base in 2015 and carried out cooperation with Zhejiang Industry Polytechnic College in the production, teaching and research. The platform has done a lot of work in inheriting and patchwork techniques. It has set up a student patchwork Association and a staff Patchwork Association. There are quilting activities every week. Some teachers are also the main players in the Shaoxing professional competition. The winners are all from the school quilting Association. Sheng Guanzhong, the only male contestant, is also a teacher who teaches knitted fabric analysis and offer and color basic courses.
