In October 21st, "the glory of Silk Road, the great beauty and boundless land", the exhibition and innovative design exhibition of Dunhuang's costume art and the 60th anniversary special school building were unveiled at the 1 show in Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology. This event is sponsored by Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, supported by Dunhuang fashion culture research and Innovation Design Center (hereinafter referred to as "center"), China Textile Publishing House Limited and Hua Zhi Zhi website.

All of the costumes presented by the former president of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, Professor Liu Yuan Feng, director of the Dunhuang fashion culture research and innovation design center, were studied, designed and produced. They performed in the important performance and closing ceremony of the "Dunhuang Dunhuang night" in 2018 and 2019. This time, in line with the fifteenth "science, art and fashion" festival of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, and the 60th anniversary presentation ceremony for Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, the center selected 20 sets of Dunhuang art reappearance costumes and 40 sets of innovative design costumes.

The exhibition is divided into two parts. The "Dunhuang costume art reproduction" unit is produced and completed by an experienced design team led by Professor Chu Yan and Professor Cui Yan of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology. The model accessories and make-up patterns are led by the leading makeup artist Yang Shuyun of the famous dance drama "Silk Road flower rain" and the 1987 version of a dream of Red Mansions. Dunhuang grotto art is "painted and refined". This unit selects twenty typical portraits of the secular people in Dunhuang murals in the past dynasties as a reference, with historical textual criticism and comparative research on costume and textile relics. Art reproduces the artistic features and unique charm of Dunhuang's clothing in various aspects such as shape, pattern and color.

"Dunhuang fashion art innovation design" unit extracts four representative colors of "green, red earth, yellow earth and brown black" from Dunhuang frescoes and painted sculpture. This is the theme of creation, and is designed by Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology professor Liu Yuanfeng, associate professor Chu Yan, Zhang Chunjia associate professor He Qing Associate professor Li Yingjun of Academy of Fine Arts, Wu Bo associate professor. On the basis of fully understanding the elements of Dunhuang's color and decoration, designers, using the design expression and techniques of the times to draw lessons from the experience, make the ancient Dunhuang art elements glow with vitality in the present, and make a useful exploration for the new path of creative transformation and innovative development of Dunhuang's dress culture.
