Exports to the US market

Export amount

The total value of textiles and clothing exports in 2019 1-6 amounted to US $1 billion 380 million, up 17% from the same period of the previous year. The main export items were garments and apparel, and fibers and yarns were not exported, but exports of fabrics and miscellaneous products were very low. The export value of garments and clothing was $1 billion 210 million, up 8% from the same period in the previous year.

Export volume

In 2019, exports of garments and clothing amounted to 460 million square meters in 1-6 months, a decrease of 1% over the same period of the previous year. Fabrics and miscellaneous products grew by 135% and 132% respectively.

Export average unit price

The average unit price of ready-made garments and apparel is $2.60 per square meter, up 9% from the US $2.38 in the same period of the previous year, and the average unit price of fabrics and miscellaneous products decreased by 10% and 7% respectively (see Table 1).

Export to EU market

Export amount

In 2019, the total value of textiles and clothing exports reached US $2 billion 40 million, up 1% from the same period last year. The main export products are garments and garments, fibers and yarns are not exported, but cloth and miscellaneous items are exported very little. The export value of garments and clothing is US $2 billion 20 million, which is almost equal to the total export value. The value of exports grew by 1% over the same period of the previous year.

Export volume

In 2019, exports of garments and clothing amounted to 98 million metric tons in 1-6 months, a decrease of 3% over the same period of the previous year. Fabrics and miscellaneous products grew by 31% and 2% respectively.

Export average unit price

The average unit price of overall textiles and garments increased by 3% over the same period of the previous year. The average unit price of garments and clothing products increased from $19.93 per kilogram in the previous year to $20.61, up 3% from the same period in the previous year, while fabric and miscellaneous products were reduced by 15% and 8% respectively (as shown in table two).
