According to statistics, in 2019 1-10, China's textile and apparel exports were US $224 billion 815 million, down 2.55% from the same period last year. Among them, exports of textiles amounted to US $99 billion 310 million, a slight increase of 0.38% over the same period last year, and exports of clothing and accessories reached US $125 billion 505 million, down 4.76% compared with the same period last year. Two of them continued to show a marked differentiation trend of "strong textile exports and weak clothing exports". The export volume of garments has been shrinking for 3 consecutive months.

In Renminbi in 2019, China's textile and apparel exports totaled 1 trillion and 543 billion 480 million yuan in 1-10 months, an increase of 2.36% over the same period last year. The RMB exchange rate has been aggravated after breaking 7 in August this year, especially since October. It has fallen to nearly 1700 basis points, making foreign trade enterprises feel pressure.

According to the monthly data, China's textile and apparel exports in October amounted to 22 billion 868 million US dollars, down 1.67% from the same period last year, the lowest export level since May this year, of which 10 billion 155 million US dollars in textile exports, 4.22% over the same period last year, and 12 billion 713 million 700 thousand US dollars in clothing exports, down 5.92% over the same period last year.
