Domestic And Foreign Demand Increases, Pakistan Cotton Yarn Price Rises
In recent weeks, the price of cotton yarn in Pakistan has increased because of increased demand and higher production costs at home and abroad. The increase in demand at this time is unusual.
Pakistan's 20 combed yarn increased by 2.27% a week, and domestic spot transactions increased, supporting prices rose.
In November, Pakistan's textile and clothing exports increased by 7% over the same period last year, and also stimulated the export price of cotton yarn to rise by 2-3%. In the next few weeks, with the formal implementation of the second phase protocol of the Pakistan Pakistan FTA, the export of yarn will further increase.
In addition, the Pakistan rupee exchange rate has dropped sharply and textile factories have sufficient power supply, which has also made exports occupy the international market. Pakistan's official import of cotton is exempt from tax, providing guarantee for raw material supply of textile mills.
