Turkmenistan Customs Implements Electronic Declaration Procedures For Customs Cargo
Turkmenistan customs has switched to the Customs Data Automation System (ASYCUDA World) since January 2020. According to the technical cooperation agreement signed by the customs and Excise Department and the joint China World Trade Center Conference on the promotion of the "Customs Data Automation System", the customs will start the electronic declaration process of customs cargo at the national customs stage. In order to achieve the smooth switching of the system, Ashkhabad customs held relevant training for customs officers. Prior to this, the mainland has successfully launched the customs transit cargo declaration subsystem, and carried out the functional test of the export declaration module of the system. After the test was successfully completed, the whole module function of the system was officially launched in December 1, 2019.
The "Customs Data Automation System" is a computer system developed jointly by the China World Trade Center Development Conference and the World Customs Organization for the automatic processing of customs data. The system has been used in more than 90 countries (regions) worldwide.
