In the face of the complex outbreak of new coronavirus pneumonia, Vinatex and its affiliates are speeding up production of masks and non-woven fabrics to increase production capacity and meet the needs of domestic and foreign markets.

Since the mask is not the traditional product of the group, its production is limited at the beginning, but by the end of this week, it is expected to produce about 250 thousand to 300 thousand products per day.

The units of Vietnam Textile Group, such as Tong Cong ty May Hung Yen, hue textile and garment company (Det May Hue), Xingan Nai garments General Corporation (Tong Cong Tong), and winter spring knitting company (HMC), have indicated that masks have been produced, and some of them are provided to the public free of charge and partly to the market.

In February 5th, Det May Hue provided free first batch of 1 million 500 thousand antibacterial masks to the hue Provincial People's Committee to provide hospitals and schools in the province. In February 8th, second batches of 150 thousand masks will be provided to the provincial Party committee, and 100 thousand masks will be provided to Lishui County, Guangdong Province. In addition, the company has accelerated the production of non-woven fabrics to other units, producing masks to Da Nang.

Tong Cong ty May Dong Nai also said that at present, the head office is producing nonwoven fabrics at the highest capacity, producing about 10 to 15 metric tons per day.

The general manager of Det Kim Dong Xuan said that the mask orders of the company had reached tens of millions of masks, and a large number of orders were suspended to serve the domestic market. After stable production, the demand for other epidemic areas will be developed (if there is demand).
