With the further ferment of overseas epidemic, Capri group, the US luxury giant, said on Monday that it will affect production tasks and that about 7000 salesmen in the North American market will be suspended from work to ensure the health and safety of employees and consumers. The plan will come into effect in April 11th.

It is understood that Capri group owns Michael Kors, Versace and Jimmy Choo and other international famous brand stores. The group temporarily closed all stores in North America in March 18th, and brand stores will remain closed until June 1st to ensure adequate safety.

In order to retain cash assets and reduce costs as far as possible, some executives of the Capri group gave up their full pay and the board of directors cut their salaries by 50%, including chief executive John's annual salary of half a year, while other employees were facing a 20% pay cut to protect cash flow.
