At the opening ceremony, Xu Huimin, Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Committee, said that the textile industry is facing many external risks and uncertainties due to the impact of Sino US economic and trade frictions and the new crown pneumonia epidemic. However, as China's largest textile consumer market, with the improvement of people's living standards, the general trend of the overall demand for high-quality textiles will not change. By 2025, Nantong will achieve the goal of breaking through 300 billion yuan in output value of the high-end textile industry, creating a world class advanced textile industry and becoming the leader of the global high-end textile industry.

The textile industry is renowned at home and abroad. Nantong has described the roadmap for realizing its dream. According to the idea of "integration, specialization, intelligence and internationalization", the city is planning to build Nantong China International Textile and Trade City, focusing on building an international textile business center, an innovative creative design center, a high-end home textile R & D and manufacturing center, a high quality goods distribution center and a production city integration demonstration. The "four centers and one new city" of new town is moving towards the high-end product value represented by technological innovation, mode innovation, method innovation, original design and brand operation.

Nantong will also formulate a five year plan for the development of high-end textile industry, grasp the development trend of "new industries, new technologies, new formats and new models", focus on building a domestic high-end textile industry demonstration base, create a world-class brand of home textiles, cultivate a number of internationally renowned textile enterprises, and build the "community" to realize their dreams according to the "supplement chain". It is still running ahead in the industry and investing 160 million yuan to build the first domestic whole process digital spinning workshop of national production equipment, as a model for the integration and intelligent manufacturing of the whole spinning two, and is popularized throughout the country. Shen Jianhong, party secretary and chairman of Jiangsu Dasheng Group Co., Ltd. introduced that in the second half of the year, Dasheng group will invest 500 million yuan to build the first intelligent spinning factory in the country.
