From January to June, the industrial added value of Enterprises above Designated Size in China's textile industry decreased by 6.7% year-on-year, 9.8% lower than that in the first quarter. Driven by the surge in demand for epidemic prevention materials, the industrial value-added of textile manufacturing industry showed a rapid growth of 57.8%. In June, the year-on-year growth rate was as high as 80.7%. From January to June, the output of chemical fiber, yarn, cloth and clothing decreased by 1.0%, 15.8%, 25.9% and 13.7% respectively.

From January to June, the retail sales of clothing, footwear, knitwear and textiles of units above the national quota reached 512 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 19.6%, 3.9 percentage points lower than that of January may. The retail sales of online wear goods decreased by 2.9% year on year. From January to June, China's textile and clothing exports reached US $125.19 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, with a growth rate of 20.9 percentage points higher than that of the first quarter. Among them, due to the rapid growth in the export of anti epidemic textiles such as masks, the export of textiles reached 74.1 billion US dollars, an increase of 27.8% over the same period of last year. However, the export of clothing was greatly affected by the overseas epidemic situation, with the export of clothing reaching 51.08 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 19.4%.

From January to June, the operating revenue of textile enterprises above Designated Size reached 1926.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.4%; the total profit was 73.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 19%. The profit margin was 1.2% higher than that of the quarter.
