JD Will Split The Cloud Computing And Artificial Intelligence Business Of JD To JD Data Division
On March 31, Jingdong group announced that it had signed a final agreement with Jingdong Digital Technology Co., Ltd. through its subsidiary company to separate JD cloud and artificial intelligence business to JD digital, with a total value of 15.7 billion yuan. After the completion of the transaction on March 31, 2021, Jingdong group's equity in Jingdong Shuke increased to about 42%.
In early March, the media reported that Xu Ling, the head of financial technology group of Jingdong technology sub group, would rotate his post to Jingdong group and report to Liao Jianmin (Chief Strategic Officer) of Jingdong group, who was responsible for strategy and investment. And Xu Ling's original post will be replaced by Li Bo, head of the financial business department.
In addition, it is reported that in the face of increasingly strict supervision, Jingdong technology subsidiary group of Jingdong may give up the plan of listing on the science and technology innovation board, but it may submit an application again in the future. However, JD technology responded that it would not comment.
At the end of last year, Chen Shengqiang, the former CEO of Jingdong digital technology, resigned, and Li Yayun, chief compliance officer of Jingdong group, was appointed as the new CEO of Jingdong digital technology, reporting directly to Liu qiangdong, CEO of Jingdong group.
On January 11, this year, Jingdong group announced the integration of cloud and AI business with JD digital technology, and formally established Jingdong technology sub group. Ms. Li Yayun, the former CEO of Jingdong data division, will be the CEO of Jingdong technology sub group.
On January 29, the official website of jd.com announced that JD group had integrated its cloud and AI businesses into JD digital and established a Jingdong technology sub group. The former Jingdong digital technology, former Jingdong cloud and AI business divisions were Jingdong technology sub group, and the former Jingdong digital technology and Jingdong Zhilian cloud brand were no longer used, and the unified brand was Jingdong technology.
