In March 31st, the reporter learned from the State Administration for Industry and commerce that the industrial and commercial organs at all levels will conduct a comprehensive centralized inspection of the production and sale of plastic shopping bags from June 1st to August 1st this year. They will ban illegal plastic bags manufacturing enterprises in accordance with the law, and investigate and deal with illegal workshops and black dens in illegal plastic shopping bags.

According to the head of the SAIC, plastic shopping bags are expendable products in daily life, while providing convenience for consumers, they also cause serious waste of energy resources and environmental pollution.

In particular, ultra-thin plastic shopping bags are easily damaged and become the main source of "white pollution".

To this end, the general office of the State Council issued a circular calling for the prohibition of the production, sale and use of ultra-thin plastic shopping bags starting from June 1st this year.
